We grew up
on these roads.
Karibu & Co. started with one Land Cruiser and a route through the Mara. Fourteen years later we're still a small team — every guide, driver, and camp manager on our roster is someone we've worked with directly, not a subcontractor we've never met.

The fine print, upfront.
Local first
Guides and drivers are hired from the regions they work in — nobody flies in for your trip.
Low-impact routes
We cap group sizes and favour conservancies and community-run camps over mass-market lodges.
Fair terms
Guides and camp staff are paid above sector average; part of every booking funds local scholarships.

"We never set out to become a big outfit. We set out to know every route, every ranger, and every camp manager by name — and fourteen years later, we still do."
That's the whole model. We turn down routes we haven't driven ourselves and partners we haven't vetted in person, which means we grow slower than most agencies — and it's the reason travellers come back and send their families next.
Five gates, five teams.
How we got here.
Founded in Nairobi with a single Land Cruiser and a handful of Maasai Mara routes.
First full-time driver-guides join the roster — the last year we ran a trip solo.
Opened operations in Tanzania and Uganda, adding gorilla trekking permits to the roster.
Rwanda desk opens; first Dubai add-on itineraries built for safari travellers craving a second climate.
Paused international bookings; kept every guide and camp partner on payroll through the shutdown.
9,200+ travellers guided across five countries, entirely by teams local to the ground they cover.

Let's build your route.
Tell us the dates and the feeling you're after — we'll turn it into an itinerary built by the people who actually drive it.
